why are iPhone expensive
Apple iPhone 13

Introduction:

The Apple iPhone is one of the largest-selling mobiles in the world. They are good in design, camera quality, and overall performance. The iPhone is Apple’s flagship segment; hence, they put in a lot of effort to make their products best in class compared to others. Generally, in India, every youth wants to buy an iPhone, but the price is so high that it is not affordable. iPhones are often perceived as more expensive for several reasons:

  • Brand Value: Apple has built a strong brand image over the years, associating its products with premium quality, design, and innovation. Apple is able to charge higher prices for its products than its competitors due to its brand value.
  • R&D and Innovation: Apple invests heavily in research and development to introduce new technologies and features to its products. The cost of developing and implementing these innovations often contributes to the higher price tag of iPhones.
  • Software and hardware: Apple has its own customized hardware and software. The company integrates its own iPhone operating system (IOS) to complement its self-engineered hardware (A BIONIC CHIP) in the best possible way.
  • Ecosystem and Services: iPhones are part of a larger ecosystem that includes services like iCloud, the App Store, Apple Music, and more. This ecosystem adds value to the iPhone, and the Apple devices sync very swiftly with each other without any lag or problems. justify its higher price for users who are invested in the Apple ecosystem.
  • Performance: iPhones are way faster than Android devices. They are very efficient and quick, no matter if you are doing anything with your phone, whether it is editing thousands of videos or working on bulky files. It is claimed that Apple’s products meet the criteria of Geekbench 4 and 3DMark.and gamers prefer the iPhone for playing games like BGMI, Free Fire, Cod, etc.
  • Brand loyalty: The company is successful in creating extreme brand loyalty, causing the demand for Apple devices to be inelastic. The demand of customers is not decreasing, even with the price of the iPhone increasing significantly with every model launched. Every iPhone user wants their next phone to be the same.

Conclusion:

In my opinion, there are six reasons why iPhones are expensive. If Apple makes a manufacturing hub in India in the future, the price may decrease a little bit. Nowadays, Samsung and Google make better phones with valuable prices. I think Apple should reduce its prices, as seen by competitors like Samsung and Google. Let’s see what happens in the future.
